TDA Securing Wins for Texas Dentists at HHSC

At the end of the 2019 legislative session, TDA started working with the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to make sure that dentistry was included in improvements to Medicaid managed care required by Senate Bill 1207. TDA is excited to report wins for dentists regarding Medicaid complaints and appeals, clinical oversight and benefits, administrative simplification, and network adequacy. Without TDA’s advocacy, HHSC would not have included dentistry in the managed care improvements.
