Prioritizing Mental Health: Resources Available for TDA Members

May 15, 2026

At the Texas Dental Association, we know that dentistry can be both rewarding and demanding. Long hours, patient care responsibilities, staffing challenges, and the day-to-day pressures of running a practice can take a toll on mental health and overall well-being.

That’s why TDA is committed to supporting our members not only professionally, but personally.

TDA offers a variety of mental health and wellness resources designed to help dentists, dental students, and their families navigate stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, and other challenges that can impact well-being.

Resources available through TDA include:

  • Mental health support and crisis resources
  • Wellness and burnout prevention information
  • Substance use and recovery support resources
  • Suicide prevention and crisis hotlines
  • Tools and information focused on emotional well-being in the dental profession

Seeking support is a sign of strength, and no one has to navigate difficult seasons alone. Whether you’re looking for immediate assistance, ongoing support, or simply resources to share with a colleague or loved one, help is available.
