Texas Dental Association Announces Lee Ann Johnson, CAE, as Executive Director

May 1, 2026

The Texas Dental Association is pleased to announce that Lee Ann Johnson, CAE, has been named Executive Director of the Association.

After recently serving as Interim Executive Director, it became clear that Johnson brings the leadership, experience, and member-focused perspective needed to guide TDA into its next chapter. The TDA Board of Directors unanimously expressed confidence in her ability to lead the organization forward while continuing to prioritize the needs of Texas dentists and the dental profession.

Johnson brings more than 35 years of experience in association leadership, including the past 25 years with TDA, where she most recently served as Director of Member Services. Throughout her tenure, she has overseen membership, communications, publications, operations, program development, and member service delivery. Prior to joining TDA in 2001, she worked for the Texas State Teachers Association.

A Certified Association Executive (CAE), Johnson is widely recognized for her collaborative leadership style and her ability to bring together boards, staff, and volunteers to create meaningful progress for organizations and their members. Her extensive experience in strategic planning, governance, and financial stewardship positions her well to lead TDA into the future.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Johnson has remained deeply involved in community leadership, serving in various roles including school board member, founding member of an education foundation, and advisory committee chair for school district bond elections.

“The Board is genuinely excited about what’s ahead,” said TDA President Glen D. Hall. “We’re confident in Lee Ann’s leadership and the continued impact she will have on our organization and our members.”

Please join us in congratulating Lee Ann Johnson on her new role as Executive Director of the Texas Dental Association.
