Posted on  behalf of the Texas Dental Association Relief Committee…

The Texas Dental Association is fortunate to be able to provide immediate disaster assistance following presidential or gubernatorial disaster declaration of such catastrophic events as Hurricane Laura, which made landfall on August 26,2020.

Whether it was your home or office that was affected, please do not hesitate to apply for a grant to cover basic immediate needs following the storms, such as temporary lodging, food, water, clothing, medicines. The intended use of these disaster relief grant funds is limited to meeting disaster victims’ most urgent and vital emergency personal needs immediately following a disaster and not intended for long-term needs such as rebuilding homes and buildings or replacing household and personal belongings. Grant funds also cannot be used to replace lost income, replacement of dental practice property, dental supplies, staff salary etc.
