Last Chance to get CE, Meet TSBDE Requirements

Dentists with Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registrations for prescribing controlled substances have until September 1, 2020 to make sure they are current with the dental board’s regulatory requirement to complete 2 hours of continuing education every 3 years in the abuse and misuse of controlled substances, opioid prescription practices, and/or pharmacology. These CE hours may be applied to CE hour requirements for dentist license renewal.1

Dentists who are not current as of September 1, 2020, could fail a continuing education audit, possibly resulting in their dental license expiring or even canceling.
